Applications for projects in 2027 can currently be submitted to Kultursommer RLP. The deadline for applications is 31 October 2026 for projects requiring a grant of up to €5,000.
When you laugh anyway – humour, satire – and deeper meaning
This is the theme of the 2027 Cultural Summer. It reflects the fact that self-deprecating humour, satire and humour are of fundamental importance to a free, democratic society. Our Basic Law protects them through freedom of expression and artistic freedom.
In 2027, therefore, we aim to create a Cultural Summer programme featuring ‘quirky’ elements and plenty of wit, humour, merriment, comedy, parody and satire. A connection to the theme is desirable, but not a mandatory requirement for funding.
