Children Help Young People

Through its ‘Jugend hilft!’ initiative, the children’s charity Children for a Better World provides grants of up to 2,500 euros to support projects run by children and young people aged 6 to 21, whose aim is to help others through their own ideas.

How does it work?

Environmental and climate protection, as well as social justice, are the most pressing issues for young people. However, limited time, doubts about the effectiveness of their own projects and a lack of recognition from those around them make it difficult to get involved. Nevertheless, social engagement is important for a harmonious society. This requires young people who can identify problems and develop solutions.

With JUGEND HILFT, you can apply for up to €2,500 for your political, environmental or social project at any time of the year. The jury meets several times a year to decide on funding for applications and to notify you promptly. If you’d like to take part in the competition, please note that applications must be submitted by 15 March each year.

JUGEND HILFT supports social projects

• in which children and young people aged between 6 and 21 have set themselves the aim of helping others through their own political, environmental or social projects.

• which are predominantly self-initiated and organised by children and young people.

• which are predominantly run on a voluntary basis.
