'Faces for a Healthy Community 2026' competition
Competition
Through the ‘Faces for Healthy Coexistence’ competition, DAK-Gesundheit recognises exemplary projects that are committed to health promotion, prevention or care. We are looking for ideas that bring people together, strengthen social cohesion and make a positive contribution to society. Prize money totalling around 40,000 euros will be awarded at both state and federal level.
Closing date for entries: 15 September 2026
Highlighting commitment
The awards recognise projects in the fields of health, prevention and care that strengthen social cohesion. Whether it’s exercise programmes for young and old, school-based initiatives to prevent addiction, anti-stress schemes or initiatives relating to home care – we are looking for a wide range of ideas that bring people together and promote healthy community life.
The following are eligible to apply:
- Clubs and groups
- Associations and organisations
- Businesses
Once the application deadline has passed, a regional jury comprising representatives from politics, healthcare, culture and other sectors of society will initially assess the submitted projects. The regional winners will then compete in the national final, where an independent national jury, chaired by DAK board member Andreas Storm, will select the national winners.
