The “#zusammen” competition recognises ideas and projects by young people that strengthen social cohesion. Prize money of up to 5,000 euros is available.

Your ideas for a strong sense of community
How can we bring people together, break down prejudices and strengthen social cohesion? Through the ‘#zusammen’ competition, the Berlin Social Science Centre (WZB) is seeking creative ideas and projects from young people who are committed to fostering greater social cohesion.
Whether it’s a new project idea or an existing initiative, we’re looking for approaches that facilitate encounters, encourage dialogue and bring people together. The three most compelling entries will receive prize money.
Groups, teams and initiatives from across Germany are eligible to take part, provided that at least one member is under 35 years of age. It is not necessary to be a registered association.
A jury will select the three best entries, which will be awarded prize money: first place will receive 5,000 euros, second place 2,000 euros and third place 1,000 euros.
Entries can be submitted, for example, as a short text or video attached directly to an email sent to zusammenhalt@wzb.eu.
