Law in Public Relations (Module II)
Law, Communication, Social media
Wednesday, 21 October 2026, 10.00 am – 1.00 pm, online. Cost: €60.00. Organised by the Rhineland-Palatinate Cultural Office.
This seminar focuses on issues of responsibility and liability: a website requires a legal notice, and the same applies to social media platforms, regardless of whether fields are provided for this purpose or not. So what should be done? It is usually clear that organisations are liable for their own content and that of their staff, but what constitutes ‘content adopted as one’s own’, and what about third-party material made available for publication? Even simply posting links or sharing images can pose legal problems; this seminar will demonstrate to what extent and how risks (warning letters!) can be reduced. Data protection considerations round off the picture. Participants are invited to actively contribute their own questions from their day-to-day work to the discussion. The two parts of the event can be booked independently of one another. Attending the event provides a comprehensive overview.
