Positive Psychology for Volunteering

How can volunteering remain motivating and empowering in the long term? The symposium ‘Strengthening Volunteering with Insights from Positive Psychology’ provides practical approaches to consciously recognising resources, fostering appreciative relationships and constructively addressing challenges in volunteering. Rather than simply ‘always thinking positively’, the focus is on practical tools for everyday use and a supportive mindset.

The event is aimed at people who work with volunteers or coordinate voluntary work.

The symposium will take place on 6 October 2026 from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm in Mainz and will be led by Michaela Wegener, a psychologist and expert in positive psychology.
