The course starts on 4 September 2026. Cost: 180 euros. Upon successful completion, participants will receive the DOSB ‘Recreational Sport’ instructor licence and the DOSB youth leader licence.

At the heart of Sportjugend’s educational work lies the intensive training programme for youth leaders and sports instructors. Over six weekend sessions and supplementary online modules (180 teaching units), participants gain practical knowledge on planning, organising and running training sessions, as well as on working with children and young people. In addition, important topics such as group leadership, conflict management, practical sports activities and legal principles are covered.
Tutors: Training team
The training is structured around six face-to-face modules with fixed dates and content, as well as several online assignments. Thanks to the blended-learning model, instead of three additional face-to-face weekends, there are 15 online tasks which must be completed independently and count towards the qualification.
The licences are valid for four years. They will be renewed provided that participants attend further training events totalling at least 15 teaching units within this four-year period.
