The Executive Committee of an Association – Legal Basis
Vorstand
Wednesday, 5 August 2026, 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm, online. Cost: €59.95 plus VAT. Organised by Vereinswelt.de.
Alongside the general meeting, the executive committee is a mandatory body of the association. Without an executive committee, the association cannot function; in other words, it is the responsibility of the executive committee to fulfil the association’s obligations in every respect.
To fulfil this significant responsibility, a basic understanding of association (tax) law is essential: for your own protection and that of your association.
To facilitate the work of the Executive Committee and ensure the greatest possible freedom of action, the speaker will also provide model wording for provisions in the Articles of Association, as well as tips on drafting rules of procedure for the Executive Committee. He will also discuss liability risks for Executive Committee members in detail and outline necessary strategies for avoiding liability.
There will also be time for individual questions, to which legally sound answers and recommendations for action will be provided. A recording and the presentation will be made available afterwards.
