How genuine participation retains members

Volunteer recruitment

Wednesday, 4 November 2026, 5.00 pm – 6.15 pm, online, free of charge. Part of the ‘DSEEerklärt: Member Retention’ series. Organised by the German Foundation for Civic Engagement and Volunteering.

Onboarding and support

Once members have been recruited, it is essential to maintain their motivation and to provide them with a good induction and ongoing support. It is important to facilitate opportunities for participation and to ensure transparent and regular communication. Similarly, forms of appreciation and recognition are key to creating a culture in which members feel valued. This webinar will provide you with practical ideas for showing genuine appreciation and offering support, whilst also addressing the topic of saying goodbye.

The webinar is aimed at people with little or no previous experience in member retention.
