What’s it all about?
Most associations pursue tax-privileged (charitable, benevolent or religious) purposes. To ensure that tax-exempt status is not jeopardised, you, as members of the executive committee, must observe certain rules set out in tax legislation. The speaker will explain in detail in this webinar what you need to bear in mind.
In addition to the general legal principles, he will focus in particular on the requirements that the association’s articles of association must meet.
Furthermore, the not always straightforward distinction between areas of activity (non-profit activities, asset management, special-purpose operations and commercial operations) will be examined in greater detail.
The webinar will also discuss how to proceed correctly with regard to ‘donations’, ‘sponsorship’ and ‘tax allowances for civic engagement’ (flat-rate allowances for trainers and volunteers) so as not to jeopardise the association’s charitable status.
There will be time for individual questions, with legally sound answers and recommendations for action.
