Energy balance and self-care in voluntary work

Resilience

Tuesday, 24 November 2026, 5.00 pm – 6.15 pm, online, free of charge. Part of the ‘DSEE Explains Resilience’ series. Organised by the German Foundation for Civic Engagement and Volunteering.

Course topic

In this webinar, you’ll learn how to manage your energy levels and avoid inner exhaustion. The aim is to recognise your resources, interpret warning signs at an early stage, and understand self-care as the foundation for sustainable commitment. As well as the individual level, we’ll also look at the team and organisational levels. To this end, we’ll provide you with practical tools: the ‘Personal Energy Balance’ helps you prioritise tasks according to their impact, whilst the ‘Circles of Control’ realistically illustrate your scope for influence and your limitations. The aim is to foster a strengthened, long-term commitment.

The webinar is aimed at beginners and lays the foundations for understanding resilience in volunteering.
